Dr. Chetty received his medical degree from the University of Natal and pursued a postgraduate degree in Ophthalmology. He later served as a consultant in the Durban metropolitan hospital complex, where he provided specialized services to Saint Aidans, Addington, and McCord hospitals. In addition, he worked as a vitreoretinal sub-specialist at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital.
Dr. Chetty’s passion for his field led him to attend the European Vitreoretinal Training School in Germany. He is also a member of the Ophthalmological Society of South Africa, the South African Glaucoma Society, and the European Vitreoretinal Society.
