About Us
Meet Dr. Kreasen Chetty, a distinguished Ophthalmologist dedicated to providing comprehensive care for all eye diseases. With a special interest in disorders of the retina, Dr. Chetty is particularly passionate about treating diabetic eye disease, ocular trauma, and complex cataracts.
Dr. Chetty earned his medical degree from the prestigious University of Natal, followed by a postgraduate degree in Ophthalmology. As a consultant, he offered specialized services to Saint Aidans, Addington, and McCord hospitals within the Durban metropolitan complex of hospitals. Additionally, he served as a vitreoretinal sub-specialist at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital.
Having a thirst for knowledge and expertise, Dr. Chetty attended the renowned European Vitreoretinal Training School in Germany. He is a proud member of the Ophthalmological Society of South Africa, the South African Glaucoma Society, and the European Vitreoretinal Society.
As a testament to his commitment to the field, Dr. Chetty became the Head of the Ophthalmology Department at Edendale Hospital, where he made a significant impact on patient care and the medical community.
